House Break-in
Oaktree Road - Friday, between 00:40-03:05
The gate on the mountain was forced open and an aluminium window was removed. The CCTV camera was forced upwards and the security light cable was cut and tripped the power in the house. A 32” and 55” TV, SLR camera, iPad and jewellery were taken. The alarm was triggered on their exit at 03:05. Security went to investigate but nothing was visible on the outside.

A boy was skateboarding next to Gardenia Park when 3 boys, dressed in school uniforms, walked past him. After a while they turned back and approached him, asking him for directions. Once he took out his phone to help them, the one boy pulled a knife and wanted to stab him. He jumped away, kicked the one boy and started shouting very loudly. They grabbed his skateboard and he shouted again, upon which they dropped it and ran down the side of Gardenia park. Residents on Aandbloem Street noticed them running down the street. Fortunately nobody was hurt and nothing was stolen.

A man was mugged in the park between Freesia and Noordelik by two strangers. His cell phone and money were stolen. One of his attackers was spotted and caught in a tree in the park. Fid-ADT, neighbors, DPVwatch and eventually SAPS assisted and the accused was taken away as he alleged the other person who had taken the phone would be identified in Stroompie.

Two men broke into a vehicle and They watched a SAPS vehicle passed before approaching the vehicle, which wasn’t locked. They spent a good few minutes inside the car and ended up getting away with jumper cables, a jack, a wet suit bag and spare wheel. Patrollers chased them all the way into Plantation and they let go of the spare wheel. It was returned to the owner.
