The solar light attached to the garage wall had been stolen and the camera monitoring the garage area had been vandalised. Armed response and SAPS were on the scene.

Chelmsford Road – Friday, 00:00 – 06:00
A silver Hyundai Getz was broken into. The back left passenger window was smashed and the car was ransacked. All the car tools from the boot as well as a bluetooth music device were taken. The cubby hole was emptied, the car service book and cd’s was left on the seat. The hood of the car was also not fully closed down so the perpetrators must have looked in the hood of the car for engine parts to steal, but no engine parts where taken.

Upper Mill Street – Thursday, 23:42
The spare rim and tyre were stolen off a Land Rover parked on the street during the night. The door also forced open and there is camera footage showing the suspect opening the bonnet of the vehicle but nothing else was reported stolen from within the vehicle.

Lights stolen from front of vehicle. Parts were later recovered.

Vehicle was parked on road around 9:30. At 13:55 of the next day the owner noticed that the vehicle was gone. The neighbor confirmed that he did not see the vehicle around midnight on the day of the incident.

Yeoville Road – Monday, 23:40
Water pipes ripped off the wall. 5m of copper pipe and tap stolen. Perpetrator was disturbed and jumped over the wall and ran off up Yeoville Road. Not sure how access was gained.

A business and residence was broken into and 2 laptops were stolen. Likely crowbar used based on damage to burglar bars.

A resident pushing an infant in a pram was mugged at knife point by two suspects. They took the phone and cash. They arrived and left in a small white car.

A vehicle was stolen. A resident reported it being driven/rolled backwards down the road all the way to the robots at corner of Upper Mill and Upper Maynard. SAPS was notified and the vehicle was recovered in Buitenkant Road.

3 suspects reportedly mugged a victim around footbridge and bridge area. They threatened to shoot the victim, the weapon seemed to be concealed.

Disa Park Lower running trail – Saturady, 06:00 – 18:00
Assault and attempted robbery. A tourist was attacked on the Disa Park lower running trail behind the towers. The victim fought back and the attacker was unable to get her cell phone, however the victim was hit over the head, weapon unknown. SAPS received the urgent request from the Deer Park parking lot and took victim to the Mediclinic.

On returning home from work, a male approached the resident and reported that he needed to check where the leaves and branches would fall as he will be cutting a tree behind our property. The resident opened the property and showed the back area. The perpetrator distracted the resident and went into her property where he took her mobile phone. wh No other items were stolen. Camera footage of the street shows the perpetrator getting into a vehicle that was parked further down the road.

Two vehicles broken into. Both side windows. One left and one right. Items taken from vehicles were sunglasses, phone holder and a repair kit, spare wheel and tyre changing kit.

A resident was attacked and assaulted by a suspect with a metal pole in the street outside a house that was also robbed by the suspect.

Glass breaking at an empty property caused the resident to investigate. Ihe garage entrance door glass had been broken. A suspect was seen moving down the street with a wheelie bin full of electrical conduiting and piping stripped from the property. The resident pursued him and was assaulted when confronting the suspect.

Van Ryneveld Avenue – Sunday, 16:12
A blue Sym Jet14 Motorcycle, was parked on the pavement outside the house with the steering locked at 15:30. At 16:07 a red citigolf drives up, as well as a Mr Delivery bike that stops at the top of the road and seems to act like a lookout, as he does not deliver anything and keeps an eye on the 4 men that get out of the car, walk up to the bike, break the steering lock. One guy wearing a helmet gets on and manoeuvers the bike down the street, while the other 3 men get back in the car and follow the bike. Then the delivery guy also leaves

Attempted House Break-in
Attempted crowbar burglary on pedestrian entrance. A vehicle of interest left shortly before the report of the burglary came in and SAPS members were made aware. The vehicle was picked up on the N2 outgoing and stopped. House break-in implements were found in the vehicle and the 3 suspect were positively identified by the complainant and linked to the attempted burglary.
