A small window was left open and even though it has a burglar bar, someone managed to climbed into the house and steal small items such as watches, cell phones and rings while the owner was upstairs.

Suspects forced a front door open with a crow bar and stole a television and a bottle of whiskey.

A shoplifter was caught a few blocks from Spar by members of the community and DPV members. SAPS was called to the scene to take him into custody.

Suspect climbed up to the window of a second floor apartment via the gutter. A laptop, keypad and camera were taken.

Suspect managed to enter a property with electric fencing and climbed to the balcony of a second floor apartment. The owner was awake and surprised the suspect who then jumped to the first floor balcony and then to the ground.

I resident had placed her recycling material in the back seat of her car which was parked behind an automatic gate. The next morning she found the car unlocked and the doors on the right front and back were open. No force was used to gain access to the vehicle.

Two men in balaclavas jumped a wall from the mountain side and removed two glass panes from behind a security gate. The resident confronted them and they fled.

A resident heard dogs barking, but did not investigate. The following morning it was established that someone had broken into the house by unscrewing the burglar bars in the bathroom. They had stolen valuables from the main bedroom including two cameras and two laptops. They were unable to fit the television set through the window and left it in the bathroom.

The tall thin man who had broken into a resident’s car previously tried to break into a car across the street. Her dog disturbed him with constant barking. She radio’d the SAPS, but they were not immediately available, but the radio room did send a vehicle to the scene. The suspect was long gone by then.

A resident parked her car on the sidewalk in front of her apartment block. As she got out a vehicle with 3 males pulled up next to her car and one of the males got out and approached her. She immediately got back into her vehicle and drove off. The male got back into the car and they drove off.

Two Trellidors were smashed and a pane of glass was removed to gain access to a house. The house was vacant. Suspects removed a built-in oven and hob but did not take this. The alarm sire was damaged.

It is not clear how suspects managed to gain access to a house and no alarm was triggered. A safe was removed from the wall and firearms, hard drives, a camera and cash was taken.
