Davenport Road - Thursday, between 00:00 and 07:00
The property’s front security gate was not working properly so the suspect/s were able to access the property. Two children’s bicycles were stolen from the garage. One was green and black and the other, smaller one was pink and white.
It is unknown if this has been reported to SAPS yet.

A vehicle was broken into with no forced entry and an iPad was stolen.

Windberg Avenue - Wednesday, at about 04:30
A call was received by CBAR reporting a woman had been heard screaming. Armed Response was dispatched and found the lady who informed them that she had been robbed of her laptop by six black males. No description could be given and she would report the incident herself to SAPS.

A red and black Jonway scooter MC with registration number NR 196 66 was stolen.

The front door to the property was forced open using a crowbar. A TV, birth certificates and other paper work were stolen.

Chelmsford Road - Wednesday, at about 16:00
The residents noticed that their motorised complex gate was beeping, so they looked out the window and saw that it had been jammed open. They witnessed a man leaving the driveway with a black mountain bicycle. He proceeded to ride around the corner and down Derry Street. The bicycle had been stolen from the porch of a ground floor flat situated near the gate.
It is unknown if this has been reported to SAPS

St James Street - Sunday, at about 05h15
The complainant woke up to find a man in her house. She shouted at him and he fled through an open window through which he had gained access. She managed to grab his bag as he fled. Her handbag containing various items was stolen. He had gained access to the first floor apartment by using a ladder.

A neighbour called the complainant to inform him that his house had been broken into. The front door had been forced open and a grey Nixon watch, two laptops, sunglasses, a camera, a tablet and an external hard drive had been stolen.

An intruder managed to access the property while the resident was asleep. A laptop, cell phone, keys and clothing were stolen. The neighbour woke the resident to inform him that his house bad been broken into. Entry to the property is unknown.

A vehicle was accessed with no sign of forced entry and a laptop was stolen.

A radio/CD player was stolen through an open window that was fitted with burglar bars on the side of the property.

Van Ryneveld Avenue - Thursday, at about 23:30
The owner of the property heard noise. He moved to his window and noticed a male had climbed onto his roof. He shouted and the suspect jumped down and ran up the road.

Two DPV members was alerted to the shouting and went out to assist. They alerted the radio network and provided a description of the suspect.

More members responded to support them in their search. The suspect was eventually spotted in McKenzie Street in Gardens. He was monitored as he walked down towards the parade. SAPS arrested the man who was positively identified as being the culprit.

WELL DONE TO EVERY ONE INVOLVED!

Theft from property 2

Peak Road - Thursday, between 02:00 and 06:00
The complainants went to bed at about 02:00 and had left a door to the property open. When they woke at 06:00, they noticed that laptops, cellphones and other electronics had been stolen.

Attempted theft out of motor vehicle - ARREST

Belladonna Avenue - Thursday, at about 04:30
A DPV member put out a call for assistance as he was monitoring a suspect who was looking into vehicles and trying car doors. Members responded to assist and SAPS were informed. The suspect was witnessed inside a vehicle, going through its contents. SAPS was able to apprehend the suspect.

Nothing was stolen from this vehicle.

SAPS informed us that this suspect has been arrested for breaking into vehicles in TBK last month.

This seems to be the same suspect that was involved in the theft from property in Pinoak Road. The beige jacket that was part of the Pinoak Road description was in his back pack.

A vehicle was broken into and two jackets, a cell phone cable and a notebook were stolen.

The suspect was arrested while attempting to steal from another vehicle in the street.

An intruder jumped into a property from Exner Avenue. The alarm went off and the intruder jumped back over the wall into Protea Court. The homeowner says that this is the third time that this has happened in the last six months.

When the property owners woke in the morning, they noticed that their gate had been left open, the garden furniture had been moved around and the trespasser had defecated in their garden.

An intruder gained access to a property from the neighbouring properties on Clifford Avenue. He forced open a window and stole stationery, clothing, cosmetics, a watch and computer accessories.

Pinoak Road - Monday, at about 02:00
The complainant parked and locked her car at 11:00am on Sunday 5 April. At 2:00am on Monday morning, she was woken up by a banging sound, but did not see anybody at the car when she went outside to look. The car was not used on Monday 06 April at all. On Tuesday(7 April) morning when she was leaving for work, she noticed that her car was unlocked and that the back seats had been folded down and the cubby hole was open. There were no signs of forced entry or a break in, but her car was definitely rummaged through.

A vehicle was broken into. Entry to the vehicle is unknown. The cubby hole was rifled through and a pair of sunglasses, a carry cot, a leather jacket and a GPS were stolen.

Vredehoek Avenue - Monday, at about 17:20
The complainant had left the Trellidoor keys in the gate. While they were out, their property was accessed via the front gate that had been forced open. The front door had also been forced and the Trellidoor had been opened. iPads, an xBox, and an Apple laptop were stolen. One of the iPads was tracked to a property in Delft. One suspect was arrested.
