Saddle Road - Sunday, at about 07:00
A vehicles window was broken and a suspect stole a calculator. He was chased by members of the neighbourhood watch and arrested by SAPS.

Access was gained to a vehicle by forcing open the vehicles door lock and the car radio was stolen.

Access was gained to the boot of a vehicle and the spare tyre was stolen.

Chelmsford Road - Thursday, between 00:00 and 06:00
A heavy tool is suspected of being used to force open the passenger door of a vehicle, leaving it badly damaged. Two towels, one white and one multi coloured, a car jack, jumper leads and a can of instant tyre repair gas were stolen.

Pinetree Crescent - Thursday, between 00:00 and 07:45
Access was gained to a vehicle without any sign of forced entry. An attempt was made to steal the car radio but this was unsuccessful. A personalised Leatherman Wave in a black cloth pouch, a Stanley metal case 10m tape measure, a white Usb car charger from iFix, and a set of alan keys were stolen.

A home front door lock was damaged to gain access and cash was reported stolen.

The front door to a home was forced open and a laptop and cameras were stolen.

The front door to a home was forced open and a television, CD player and speakers were stolen.

Theft out of motor vehicle - ARREST

Chelmsford Road - Monday, at about 18:00
Two black males were seen running past a members home who then called it on the DPVwatch radio network. Members mobilised and then CBAR informed the network that a suspect was hiding in a property in Noordelik Avenue. When members arrived he fled until he was caught in Windburg Avenue. A bag was retrieved and a laptop was found inside. The computers owner was identified and it was found that the bag had been stolen while the owner was running on the mountain. The other suspect managed to escape.

Pinetree Crescent - Monday, At about 14:20
Two coloured males were reported running past a house in Aloe Street making their way down towards De Waal Drive. They jumped over a couple of walls and tried to hide in High Cape but swift response from SAPS, DPV members and High Cape Security saw both men arrested and found to be in possession of goods stolen from a home in Pinetree Crescent.

Access was gained to a vehicle and the spare wheel, car jack, wheel spanner, a small red portable radio but most importantly the victims mothers ashes were reported as stolen.

A yellow Kymco scooter with a CL registration was reported stolen.

A vehicle had two windows broken, both rear door windows on passenger side, to gain access and the jumper cables and a usb phone charger were stolen. The vehicles battery cable was cut.

Aloe Street - Friday, at about 15:10
A suspect was reported running through several properties. DPV members and CBAR mobilised and the suspect was apprehended in Noordelike Avenue. He was arrested and charged with trespassing.

Two black males were seen jumping over the wall of a block of flats. The suspects had gained access via the drainpipe on the outside of the flat. A chainsaw was reported stolen.

A white Volkswage Jetta 3 1996 1.8 litre CSX A/C - petrol CA 347381 with black roof racks was reported stolen. No silver VW emblem on front of the car. Two hub caps missing. RipCurl sticker on the bottom centre of the back window. White square sticker on the left back passenger triangle window. Car was parked on the street of Virginia Ave. One way. facing Vredehoek Ave - directly across from 35 Virginia ave apartments.

A residents domestic worker was attacked and stabbed in the hand by a male wearing dark clothing and a navy raincoat. Nothing was reported stolen and the victim was transported to hospital.

A vehicle was broken into for the second time in 10 days as the left rear passenger window had not yet been repaired, someone broke into the car again. They stole a black blow up couch which doubles as a double bed mattress. It had a pump with it.

The front door to an apartment was forced open and a laptop, iphone and ipad were stolen.

A vehicles window was broken and the car mats, a dogs mattress and a pair of sunglasses were stolen out of the vehicle.

Access was gained to an apartment by forcing open the burglar bars and forcing open a window. The suspect ripped out the living room burglar alarm sensor and stole a Samsung tablet.

A resident heard a noise outside and saw a man walking out the front gate. Nothing was reported as stolen and the susect could not be found afterwards.

A domestic worker saw a man walking on the property and trying to conceal himself in the bushes of the garden. She called the armed response company and DPV members responded but the suspect had fled the scene.

Access was gained to a vehicle without any signs of forced entry and a laptop was reported as stolen. It is suspected that the remote jamming device was used.

Myrtle Street - Saturday, between 08:30 and 09:30
A complainant parked in Myrtle street opposite the Gardens Centre. She came out of the bank at about 09h30 and drove home to Wexford Road when she noticed that the left rear small window was broken into. Nothing was reported as stolen.
