Two men got out of a car, leaving the driver in the car. They ran across the road towards the soccer field and robbed a pedestrian of his cell phone and camera.

Three people were held up by a man carrying a fire arm. The assailant fled in the direction of Derry Road. Once the victims reached Vredehoek Avenue, they were assisted by a DPV member and the incident was reported to authorities and posted on WhatsApp and Buzzer.

A resident at a block of flats noticed a few, what looked to be fresh, blood drops inside the car park. She followed the blood spots - they came from the area where the bins are kept inside, where she saw fabric on the barbwire, which she didn’t notice before. It ended at the electric box for the vehicle gate. Residents int he block recalled hearing the voices of two men in the area around 05:30-06:00.

There were indications that a person had slept in the lane adjacent to a property. A solar powered light used for lighting the lane had probably disturbed the person’s sleep and was ripped off from the mounting by reaching through a fence and razor wire, breaking the power cable.

A man switched off the electricity by tripping the DB outside and climbed over a high wall in to a semi covered garage and stole a red tent and attempted to steal a large toolbox. He dropped the toolbox which woke the owners up and when they made noise he ran away with the tent. He left a brick and sharp spike under the car in the street.
