Upper Mill Street between 11:00 on 28 February & 16:30 on 3 March 2014.
A scooter with registration CWF 886FS was stolen

Chelmsford Road, Thursday at 05:05
Residents were awoken by the barking of their puppy. They went to the top of the stairs to investigate and smelt a strong alcohol smell and heard commotion. They went to the window overlooking the garden where they saw movement in the tree. They shouted to scare the intruders off and then went downstairs a few minutes later.
The steel security gate had been bent open to gain access - presumably with a car jack. There was a broken bottle of brandy and a bottle of whiskey left at the security gate. They stole a TV, laptop, iPad, hard drive and around 4 bottles of liquor.

Exner Avenue, Tuesday between 00:00 and 06:00
All four wheels were stolen from a Kia. The vehicle was left propped up on bricks.

Burglary while residents were briefly out. Large skylight frame was removed and entry gained. Alarm activated and suspects gone before armed response and residents arrived. Valuables including a hard drive taken.

The home of an elderly woman was broken into while the resident was at home. A lap top was stolen

The flat is off the ground floor and quite high up. Access appears to have been gained via open kitchen window. The suspects walked around the flat stealing laptops, cellphones and a set of knives.

The resident woke up to hear noises. There were two men in his house - they has smashed the glass front door to get inside. They were chased off.

Theft from property 2

Aandbloem Road - Friday at 09:00
A resident noticed that timber beams were next to her gate. A suspect had jumped over her wall and was removing it from the garage. She screamed at him and he calmly jumped over the gate and walked away. The resident got into his car to find the suspect but he had disappeared. The suspect was a black male wearing a blue workmans top and light coloured pants. He had a lean face and had a lean build.

Deer Park Drive - Friday at 03:30
A window was removed from kitchen door by scraping out the putty. Intruders accessed the kitchen but could not move through the house because interleading doors were locked. They went out again and removed window from TV lounge to gain access to this room. They repeated this a third time with window to guest room. Outside rear beams were faulty and did not go off. They avoided the front beams which were on. Internal alarm sensor was not activated. They stole valuables such as TV, lap tops etc. Residents were sleeping upstairs. Dog barked but after a cursory look the resident returned to bed unaware of the break-in.

The door to the property was forced open. Luggage, clothing, iPhone, remotes and house keys were stolen.

Chelsea Avenue, Thursday at 15:30
A man was seen trying to steal wheels from a parked car at 3,30 pm. When he realized he was being watch he ran away leaving the wheel spanner etc on the pavement.

Suspects attempted to gain entrance to the property by wedging open the sliding door and and then bending the bottom of the trellidor.

Exner Street, Monday 06:05
Resident saw a short stocky man wearing a white t-shirt trying to pry open their ground floor bedroom window. The suspect took off. Approximately 3 minutes later the resident saw a black BMW with tinted driving down Exner (a one-way in the opposite direction).

There was no forced entry to the property, but the till was forced open and money stolen.

Davenport road, Thursday at 17:30
A resident in small block discovered a woman who had climbed over the neighboring wall and was sitting behind their block’s closed gate. The suspect was placing a hose pipe into a black refuse bag. The resident told the woman to drop the hose pipe and leave. Unfortunately after the suspect had left it was discovered that, at the back of the building some belongings such as shoes, toys, etc had been stolen. It is highly likely that said suspect was responsible for the theft.

The resident was woken to find an intruder in a bedroom packing a laptop and tablet into a bag. The suspect then left through a hole in the fence into Disa Park. Method of entry was through the sliding kitchen window which was lifted off the rails.

The window was removed from the frame to gain access. A laptop, Xbox and PS2 was stolen.

The residents woke up to find the bathroom window had been forced open. A Samsung galaxy, Blackberry and wallet had been stolen.

Theft out of Motor Vehicle

Plantation Road, Saturday between 18:35 and and 18:45
An intruder climbed over an electric fence (where gate and wall meet). He triggered the parking area’s beam and CBAR alerted the resident. A car was parked behind the fence with its windows open (to dry a water spillage in the car). The suspect stole the hands-free kit from the car seat, scaled the wall again and ran to De Waal Drive where he scaled another wall (with electric fencing). While he was going over the resident threw bricks at him! He was wearing a striped green short-sleeved shirt, and had a charcoal coloured backpack.
