A vehicles window was broken and a bag with toiletries were stolen.

Arum Road - Sunday, between 13:00 and 19:30
A suspect gained access to the complainants home through the bathroom window by removing the glass and forcing their way through the burglar bars. The suspect then stole a new HP 355 Laptop with a German keypad, about 20 wrist watches, two Swiss Army Knives, an electric shaver, cosmetics and a wallet containing a German driving license and bank cards.

Florida Road - Sunday, at about 06:30
A resident woke up hearing noises coming from his balcony. He then noticed the bedroom curtains moving as a suspect attempted to steal clothing through the open window. The resident grabbed the clothing and the suspect jumped from the first floor balcony and escaped.

A resident woke to find a man in her room stealing her cellphone and laptop. She ran to another room where she locked herself in while the suspect continued to search the flat for valuables with a torch. Access was gained through a kitchen window.

A suspect attempted to steal a Toyota Hilux bakkie CY235*. The suspect was arrested by SAPS.

Plantation Road - Friday, at about 01:15
At around 01:15 a resident heard a car alarm going off in the street. On investigation she noticed a black VW Polo sedan parked in the street and a male walking backwards and forwards to another parked VW Polo Vivo. The suspect vehicle left the area and returned about 10 minutes later. It was later found that a Europcar VW Polo Vivo’s lock had been professionally removed and fuses removed from the vehicle. The car radio had been stolen.

Van Ryneveld - Friday, between 00:00 and 06:00
SAPS members were monitoring our area when they noticed three suspicious men. They followed them to Mckenzie street, where they stopped and searched them, finding a bag, ipod and sparkplug on them. The bag had a bill with an address for our area and when questioned further they admitted to breaking into vehicle and were arrested. The owner of the vehicle positively identified the stolen goods.

Exner Avenue - Wednesday, at about 21:40
A suspect broke into a vehicle and was seen running away from the scene by a DPV member who called in his description on the radio. After a 30 minute search the suspect was found hiding in a driveway and was arrested.

A suspect was seen breaking the window of an apartment and when the witness shouted at him he ran away. The suspect was followed and arrested by members and SAPS.

A vehicle was broken into and unknown contents were stolen. A tall man with short hair, wearing light blue jeans, a black long sleeved top and with a black backpack was seen heading towards Vredehoek Avenue.

Yeoville Road - At about 03:00
The complainants were walking up Yeoville Road and were followed by a suspect who then produced a knife and robbed them of one cellphone before running away. The suspect has been described as a black male between the ages of 35 - 40 years old.

A witness saw a short male and female approach a vehicle and break it’s window. She shouted at the suspect and another witness gave chase but the suspects managed to get away. A camouflaged backpack was stolen.

Chelmsford Road - Friday, at about 14:00
A resident received a call at about 15:00 to say the front door to his apartment was open and on arrival the complainant saw that the security gate and front door had been forced open. A television, laptop, jewelry and cosmetics had been stolen. A blanket and sports bag were also taken to possibly hide the stolen goods. On further inspection it was found that a further two apartments in the block had also been broken into.

The complainant and his wife were parking their vehicle in front of their home when they were approached by two young black males who threatened them with a firearm. The complainant and his wife were robbed of their cellphones, bags and motor vehicle.
