The complainant foiled a prowler on his property at 28 Deerpark drive at about 23h00 tonight. When he saw him he fled over the wall and may have run into Deerpark or Frank street. CBAR was alerted.

An intruder managed to get up onto the top floor of a flat in the complex. It is assumed that he got inside through an open window. He stole a laptop, wallet, key to the flat and complex and the central gate remote control. The resident was asleep at the time and he locked her into her bedroom.

The complainant woke to find an unknown male climbing out of his bathroom window. He tried to aprehend the suspect, but was not able to. On inspection he discovered that a bag, camera, jewellery, sunglasses, clothing and an E-reader were stolen.

Rocklands Avenue - Thursday - 06:30
The suspect jumped over the high walls of the property and then went through the open front door to gain access into the house. He was seen inside and fled stealing a wallet. This wallet was then dropped outside the house and he ranup the road. He was wearing brown trousers and a black top.

Arrest - Possession of stolen goods

Vredehoek Avenue - Tuesday
Following an LPR alert for a suspicious vehicle that has been spending a lot of time in DPV, Warrant Officer Jonker responded and searched the suspects. One suspect was arrested for possession of stolen goods and the vehicle was impounded by Traffic for operating under suspension.

Barnham Avenue - Monday - 05h10
The house alarm was activated at 5h15am. Camera footage showed a very tall coloured man climbing over the first wall, then a few minutes later he got over the second wall and Walked towards the dining room door and the outside beam picked him up. He ran and jumped back over the wall.

The resident returned home and put his laptop and camera into the boot of his car. When he returned in the morning at 06:00 the car window has been smashed and the boot accessed. The laptop and camera had been stolen.

The complainant noticed a suspicious person at 03h00 trying to force the ignition lock of a scooter. He ran away when complainant told him he was calling SAPS. The complainant chained the scooter to a lamp post. SAPS arrived but could not take the scooter in as the theft had not yet been

A Honda scooter was stolen from Davenport Road and was recovered on Bradwell Road by Constable Titus, but the suspects were not present.

The window to the property was forced open and two laptops and a set of keys were stolen.

Attempted robbery - street mugging

Aandbloem Street - Friday - 11:00
An elderly lady was walking opposite The Signal flats speaking on her cellphone. At the same time a tall black man in dark clothes with a cap and rucksack came walking out of Clovelly Rd. He saw the cellphone and hurried in her direction. Another resident witnessed this as she came walking up Aandbloem street and walked towards the lady and started a conversation. This prompted the suspect to abort his plans.

The complainant was getting her belongings out of her vehicle when a coloured male grabbed her bag. She attempted to fight him off, but noticed two other coloured males approaching and let go of the bag.

Two black males entered through an unlocked door, tied up the complainant and stole a Macbook, iPhone, iPad, jewellery, a hard drive, keyboards and a Subaru Forester.
