A resident noticed a suspicious-looking man jumping down from an outside wall at the neighbouring apartment block. The man had removed a security spotlight and walked off. Information was shared on a crime WhatsApp group, it was communicated on the DPV radio network and an experienced patroller responded. He managed to locate the man with the stolen items and SAPS arrested the man.

An image of the women were compared with the women that had targeted the Doctors’ rooms on Exner Road in June and it was the same group of women.

My wheelie bin was removed from outside the property. I had heard the refuse truck emptying bins, went outside about 5min later to retrieve my bin, and it was no longer outside the property. A neighbour said she had seen it a few minutes before I stepped outside. I put a message out on DPV whatsapp and received a notification that another person had seen 2 people pulling a bin into the forest near my property. I will report to SAPS so as to be able to get replacement bin from the city.
