A resident went for a run and was accosted by three men on foot. They came out of Delphinium via Windburg and into Peak Road. The victim’s running app on his phone indicated that “his” run ended at an apartment block in Vredehoek.

The owner’s barking dogs woke him and he checked outside his house, but did not see anything unusual at the time. The following morning when the resident went outside he noticed that a few clothing items were taken from the washing line and some were dropped. Suspect was caught in the act as he attempted to break into a vehicle. The member of the watch apprehended him and SAPS were called to arrest.

A resident arrived home and noticed a broken window. When he entered his flat the lights were off and he found an intruder next to his lounge cabinet. He apprehend the man and called SAPS who executed the arrest.

A woman was was walking a nanny back from the bus stop with her baby in a pram, when a well-dressed young man pushed her against a wall and took her cell phone. She yelled out and two people walking near by began to run after the man, but he jumped the fence of the Good Hope Seminary Junior School and escaped.

Plantation Road - Wednesday, after 01:30
A resident woke up from a loud noise and checked through window, but didn’t see anything. Kept waking up because dogs were restless. Woke up again from car noises and could hear old car stuttering down the road towards Peak. The next morning it was discovered that the laundry door had been forced open. The door was still locked but the frame had been damaged and hinges off. Multiple items were removed, also from a room where the window was pulled open and they reached for items. The items were moved over the front wall and into a vehicle. Judging from the size of items, a vehicle was involved.

The resident called security to report an intruder on the premises. AR was dispatched and SAPS were also in attendance. The premises was searched and it was found that the suspect had tried to gain access via a bathroom window by using a stone to break it. Access was gained from the neighbouring property.

A woman was robbed of her cell phone at knife point by a man who then fled in the direction for the mountain. He also bit her finger.

An attempt was made to break into a car and steal by smashing the window. Both CBAR and ADT were quick to respond. Neighbours did hear a vehicle idling loudly a block away before the incident and noticed a person being dropped off, before the car drove away. It could be related.

A man accessed Bedford Mews by crawling through from under the palisade fencing from Good Hope Seminary school fields. His accomplice stayed on school field. Together they attempted to steal a Weber gas grill and 9kg gas cylinder. A barking dog alerted the owner to their presence and they were chased off. They proceeded to get out of the school field by scaling the palisade fencing at the end of Bedford Street, and casually walked away.
