A blue/green carry case with a cordless drill and charger, a small green carry case with a cordless screwdriver and charger, a band saw, an orange extension cord on wheels and two small camping chairs were stolen.

ADT was dispatched to Van Ryneveld for an alarm activation upon entering the street, he passed a male that he found suspicious.The officer did a perimeter check and noticed footprints next to a flower box by the perimeter wall so he searched the surrounding area for the male he had spotted earlier and caught up with him in Buitenkant street. Sgt. Pinky and Cst. Sigcu were available to assist and took suspect down to SAPS for profiling.

A lady was unpacking her groceries, when asked by a passer by if he could help her to take the bags out and carry them upstairs for her. Screams were later heard and the man jumped down from the balcony and ran down Ixia Avenue. Two men who were playing soccer on the field heard the screams and chased after and caught the suspect. He had tried to take a mobile phone and laptop.
The suspect was arrested.
