Wexford : 10h30 - Intruders used crowbar or similar tool to break open the security gate on the front door. Two LCD screens were stolen as well as jewelery. It appears that the intruders were planning on coming back to steal more, as upon the resident’s return to the flat, he noticed a gold Golf 4 pulling up outside with about 3 - 4 black male occupants. When the resident shouted at them from the balcony, they jumped back into the car and drove off. The incident has been reported to SAPS.

Peppertree : 03h00 - Intruder tried to open or lift glass sliding door to lounge, ran away when he saw resident, who woke up from the noise. Had been inside kitchen yard, unscrewed part of gate lock from inside the yard and opened gate, removed contents of cupboards, several items missing. Had tried to break open lock of kitchen door with sharp object from outside. Suspected entry over metal boundary fence and over wall of kitchen yard. Male suspect has a dark complexion, is of average height, was wearing dark clothing, used blueish flashlight. Incident has been reported to SAPS.

Arum : between 08h30 & 12h00 - Security gate of cellar room was broken off. The wooden door behind the security door could not be opened, so nothing has been stolen. As a tool, the long locking bar from the drive-way gate was used. When resident returned at lunchtime, a +- 25 year old black male, wearing beige cord jeans, was found sitting on the steps in front of the house door, pretending to wait for some food. He was asked to leave the premises. The resident only found out later that the security gate was broken.
Mugging / Robbery
Bellair : 03h30 - Black male wearing blue jeans and a light brown hoodie approached a woman as she was walking to her flat and tried to steal her handbag. This was witnessed by two residents who gave chase after him. A TBKwatch member was in the area and spotted these men giving chase and assisted them. He used the radio to alert other DPVwatch members and SAPS. The suspect was arrested on the corners of Anemone and Ixia. Fantastic work by all!
