The black plastic bonnet trim was stolen from a Merc A Class in well lit, off-street parking. It was stolen during strong winds and the fire raging on Devil’s Peak. Parts of the bonnet trim were broken off.

A resident left her car locked by using a remote, but did not check the door. The following morning she could see that someone had been in her car as items were moved. A USB cable, towel and sunglasses were stolen.

The back left passenger window of a car was broken. The owner heard the thud of the window being broken and opened the room window and shouted at him to get out of her car. He had attempted to take the booster seat, but left when he was disturbed.

Deer Park Drive - Wednesday, at 20:07
A resident reported that a person attempted to enter at the gate of a property. He stopped and called out, but the person fled to the neighbour’s property, damaging the electric fence. Another suspect approached from the mountain side and another threw stones at the AR vehicle from behind some bushes. Nothing was taken and no one gained access. SAPS and the neighbourhood watch was in attendance.

A car, corner of Upper Mill and Warwick, was broken into. Stolen items: sunglasses, an access tags, service record. Cigarette buts and half eaten bread were found in the car. The access tags were found, but the service record is missing.

A man broke and grabbed the side mirror of a van belonging to a service provider that was parked in the street. Everyone was alerted and the man was caught on the corner of Yeoville Road and Mellish and apprehended. SAPS arrested the suspect and the owner opened a case.

A man, that had been a problem in the street the night before, climbed onto the balcony of a house. It appeared to by drug related behaviour. SAPS arrived within 10 minutes and took the man to hospital for observation.

The burglar bar of a garage window was removed and access was gained into the garage. The owner heard the noise and contacted Watchcom. Fid-ADT responded in 3-4 minutes and the AR officer apprehended the suspect in the garage. He was holding a knife. SAPS arrived on the scene 10 minutes later to arrest the suspect.
