House robbery

Pinoak Road – Saturday, 21:40
Four men armed with handgun and bolt cutter broke into house through kitchen. Stole laptops, tablets, wallets, watch, cell phone, headphones, handbag, and vehicle and house keys. They also took jewellery from resident. SAPS, armed response and watch members assisted

Ludlow Road – Wednesday, at approximately 11:00
A man broke into a property and threatened the resident. A family member chased the man from the property. Fairview security alerted DPV. Members and armed response company patrolmen subsequently apprehended the suspect and detained him for SAPS.

Black iPhone 11 stolen from patron in restaurant. Security camera captured possible male suspect who left the premises on foot, heading up the road.

Two suspects in an old grey sedan broke into a house. Valuables including two safes were stolen.

A resident was unloading her car in the garage and took a bit longer than usual to close the garage behind her. Her husband saw someone walk into their kitchen behind her and approached him with their dogs to make him leave. The intruder was confident, with a piece of paper in his hand, as though he had to hand it to them.

Two men were seen trying to remove a number plate from a vehicle. They then tried to steal windscreen wipers. When the resident shouted at them, the men ran over Upper Mill Street to Jutland Park.

A mountain-facing property was broken into.

Virginia Avenue – Tuesday, between 06:00 and 18:00
When resident got home from work, he found that his house had been broken into during the day. The front leadlite window next to the door had been destroyed. The intruder(s) had gone through several rooms. Items stolen: two electrical leads and an electrician’s light, a walnut mantle clock, a towel and a cell phone charger.

A resident disturbed a woman trying to break the lock on her neighbour’s garage door. She then walked off in the direction of Derry Street.

Four armed men broke in, tied up residents and ransacked house. Burglars took cellphones, wallets, cards and cash. Not aggressive and operated very quietly.

Person gained access to street-facing garage by cutting the lock. A spade and old PC screen were stolen.

Delphinium Street — Saturday, at 08:00
A domestic worker was accosted by a scruffy man with a knife who demanded her cellphone. He grabbed the collar of her jacket. When she screamed, residents came to her assistance but he jumped into an old white Mercedes which sped off.

A man jumped over high wall into a private property. The resident confronted the intruder and he jumped back over the wall and disappeared.
