The residents were asleep when the thieves accessed the property through a window. A laptop was stolen.

Virginia Road - Sometime during last week
The car was broken into and the dashboard damaged in what looks like an attempt to remove the back of the radio.

Delphinium Street - Saturday at 08:30
The residents were not home a the time and the burglar bars and window was removed. A Flat screen TV that was still in the box was stolen.

Theft out of vehicle -ARREST

Chelmsford Road -Friday at 06:30
A car was broken into and a 6-pack of beer, cream and sunglasses was stolen. A security guard at Disa Park saw the suspect break into the vehicle and alerted SAPS via the DPVwatch radio that the head of security at Disa Park carries. SAPS responded immediately and the suspect was arrested a few roads away.

Gladiolous -Thursday during the day
A coloured man wearing a two piece blue workman’s overall gained access into the house by telling the person at the door that he was there to measure up for painting as requested by the owner. He was allowed in and stole numerous small items including an iPod.

Bellair Road - Thursday at 02:00
A resident who couldnt sleep went outside to walk his dog and discovered a man fleeing from a parked car. The car had been broken into and the man was carrying something. The resident’ and his dog chased the man several blocks but he got away. The suspect was a thin, tall black male.

Exner Road - Wednesday between 00:15 & 04:30
Items were stolen from the house including a laptop. There was no sign of any forced entry but the next day the gardener found the house keys lying in the garden.

A car was broken into and the front loader and speakers were stolen.

Aloe - Monday over night
The suspect chat a whole in a downstairs window to access the house. The alarm was activated but did not detect the intruder. Items stolen include a kettle, laptop and handbag among other items.

A car was broken into but nothing was stolen.

Theft from property

Rocklands Avenue - Monday during the day
The driveway gate was lifted off the track for access to be gained to the property. The suspect was able to get into the cellar and steal a children’s bicycle. This is the second incident at the property in 2 weeks in which a bike has been stolen.

Virginia - Sunday around 22:00
The suspect gained access to the house and went into the kitchen where he helped himself to some food and drinks. The neighbour came around to check on the house and found the man inside the house. He then fled from the property.

Pinetree Crescent - Sunday during the night
White Chico (City) Golf 2000 model parked outside the premises was broken into.
No car windows were broken. Access gained thru drivers door - lock had been tampered with. Drivers and back passenger door was opened. Back seat was folded down to access boot. Wires connected to battery were cut.
Items stolen from car: boot panel with 2 speakers attached to it, radio out of dashboard with casing and the face of the radio which was hidden under the drivers seat.

Agapanthas - Saturday at 04:00
Access was gained into the third floor of the property. There was no signs of forced entry but footprints were evident on the wall. The suspect stole a laptop and a cellphone.

Mugging

Upper Mill Street - Friday around 10:00
A domestic worker was mugged at knife point on her way to work. A DPVwatch member had seen a suspicious man in the area and had alerted SAPS to him. This was the same man that mugged the lady. Because of the excellent description she was able to give SAPS the suspect was arrested about an hour later and he was still in possession of the stolen property.

Car broken into and sunglasses and a jacket was stolen.

Upper Mill Street - Monday between 19:30 & 22:00
The window to the property was forced open and an Apple Mac, Blackberry and iPod was stolen.

Trespassing

Freesia - Saturday at 06:15
A man jumped over the wall of property and set of the alarm. When the resident came to investigate he said that he had not stolen anything and jumped back over the wall and ran away. The suspect was a black male wearing a blue jacket and a coloured hat.

Upper Mill Street - Saturday at 23:30
The ground floor flat was accessed via a window. The flat borders onto the Good Hope Seminary School grounds so the suspect was on that property and trying to pry things out of the flat window. He was disturbed and was unable to steal anything. CBAR arrived very quickly followed by SAPS and DPVwatch members and the school fields were searched but the suspect could not be found.

Ben Avenue - Friday around 18:40
Suspects forced open the front door and stole a flat screen TV and a laptop. They were seen fleeing in a white Audi with registration CF 114 772.

A car in the Deer Park parking area was broken intro and a briefcase containing tickets to the value of R64 000 was stolen.

A white toyota landcruiser CA 568 586 stolen.

Mugging

Bedford Ave - Thursday around 8am
A women was mugged by a coloured male with a blue shirt on. He threatened the lady with a knife and stole her handbag and cellphone. Neighbours heard what was happening and chased after the man and got the handbag back but not the cellphone.

A Vespa Scooter was stolen. It is quite distinct as the colour is Sierra Blue with a beige seat.

Rocklands - between 13:30 & 16:30
The sliding gate was lifted off its tracks and moved to the side and access was gained to the house. An expensive red and white mountain bike was stolen.

Attempted Hijacking

Belladonna Road - Wednesday 13:25
A man got into his golf which was parked on Belladonna, on the corner with Derry Street. He was approached by a coloured man with a gun who demanded his car keys. He gave the key and the man tried to steal the car but the key broke in the ignition. A motorbike then came past with a white male driver who picked up the coloured man and sped off.
A radio holder saw a black motorbike going onto De Waal Drive and it is believe they are the culprits. The coloured man on the back was wearing a white sweatshirt with turquoise markings and the motorcycle was black with a CY registration number. Both people on the bike were wearing full helmets.

Windburg Avenue - Friday at 11am
A coloured male wearing a black t-shirt and brown shorts jumped over the property wall and was stealing the laundry. The domestic worker saw him from inside and ran outside to confront him. He threatened her with a gun and ran away. He stole only a pink hoodie, a black hoodie and some cycling gear.

A car was broken into and a wallet with cash was stolen.

Chelmsford Road - Wednesday between 05:35 & 06:25
The entire flat window was removed from the frame. The suspects got in and and stole a TV, hard drive, laptop and some clothing. The cameras and cellphones were left behind. This happened while the residents went to the gym.

The flat was broken into and a 2 laptops and a large flat screen TV were stolen.

The back kitchen window was removed from the frame to gain access into the house. A DVD player and flat screen TV was stolen.

Deer Park Drive - Saturday at 20:00
The owners of the house were away for the weekend and the suspects entered the house by bashing down the front door. They ransacked a lot of the house but only stole a wallet containing some foreign currency. The neighbour saw two black men in a Silver Citi Golf driving away.
