Mugging - ARREST

Pypies Square 15:30. A boy was returning home from school when he was approached by a black man and child at the gate to the park. The man held a knife to his throat while the boy went through his bag. They stole a cellphone and MP3 player. Reported to SAPS.

Suspect were arrested the following day by SAPS. He was in posession of the stolen property! Excellent work.

Exner during the day. Theft of Bicycle and other items. Reported to SAPS.

Mugging

Upper Mill Street 07:50. Women was walking on the street. A man approached her and tried to take her Ipod. She resisted but eventually he ran away with it.
Male, blue stripped t-shirt and brown three quarter trouser - similar clothing description to a man involved in a similar incident in OHwatch area last week.

Pine Tree 04am: Women returned home and was confronted by a man. He demanded her bag which she refused to give him and she threw it into the car. He then broke the car window to get the bag. He also threatened her with a sharp object.

Deer Park Drive : between 06h00 & 18h00 - Vehicle parked in the mountain parking area was broken into. A bag containing a Blackberry, cash and other valuables was stolen. The bag has since been recovered on the mountain.

Ludlow : 22h15 - Resident heard his VW Golf with noisy fan belt start up and drive off. He gave chase in another vehicle and suspects were pulled over on N2 after interception by SAPS from Woodstock and Maitland. A green metallic Uno with L sticker on back window and 3 black male occupants was seen earlier in Florida Street. They drove off quickly when they realised they were being observed.

Suspected Burglar

Pypies : 07h15 - Young black male with a shaved head wearing khaki longs with green and white striped golf shirt was seen walking down Ixia. Went and knocked on door in Anemone then entered unfenced property in Pypies. SAPS were contacted and they then searched the property and found him sitting in an alley. Resident had sliding door open and was unaware of intruder. Finger prints tested negative, so he was warned and released.
