CCTV footage shows a suspicious vehicle driving past, braking and then returning to have a second look at a Polo. Two men approach the vehicle and gain access from the driver’s door. They both leave in the vehicle. The incident took place during the raging fire against Table Mountain.

A man was found on the property after he had apparently entered earlier on Wednesday when the caretaker was busy with the bins of the complex and the gate was open. He remained on the property, hiding in the back and was only heard later. He was not in good shape and believed to have recently been in prison.

A man gained entry into a house, took car keys and tried to steal a car parked outside. He crashed it into a few neighbours cars, ditched it and ran across Jutland towards the fire station.

A woman entered the shop and tried to conceal and steal a couple of bottles of expensive alcohol. Two accomplices were waiting for her in a car outside. She was caught in possession of the bottles before leaving the store.

A client of a response company alerted them to the presence of a stranger on their property. The officer started checking the premises and noticed that the motorized gate was forced open to gain access. He then moved to the back of the property and found a man trying to hide behind bicycles. Noise from the bicycles had alerted the owner. The suspect was apprehended and arrested.

The monitoring centre received a call reporting three males were seen breaking into a vehicle. CBAR dispatched an AR vehicle and they reported that two suspects were caught - one inside the vehicle and the other on the outside. SAPS were dispatched and the suspects were taken into custody.

A member heard a smashing sound and went to have a look out the window. The man was hiding under the tree overhang. The member screamed and he immediately ran down Wexford Road. Nothing was taken and the window was smashed entirely.
