Three youngsters were spotted by residents with a trolley containing a big blue case and bag. DPV patrollers and armed response stopped them. Computer equipment and school stationery was found, later confirmed taken from Good Hope Junior Seminary School. Principal is in contact with the parents.

Alarm triggered at 00:30 which is thought to be when the incident occurred. A very long stick was used to try and hook house keys through an open window. Ten minutes later there was an attempted break-in across the road from this incident.

The back left car door was pried open and the door damaged. Cubby hole was opened and rifled. The back car seat was pulled forward and contents in the boot of the vehicle were taken.

Tall male tried to remove a large convex traffic mirror attached to a high vertical wooden pole at the end of the driveway. He ignored the residents shining a torch at him and continued to very aggressively wrench the mirror away from its steel brackets. The perpetrator only moved away when armed response arrived. He hid behind cars as he headed towards the Upper Mill – Chelsea four way stop.

The school’s feeding room within the school at Good Hope was vandalised. 21 litres of milk, 12 packets of E’pap, a kettle and various other items were taken. Everything else was thrown out of the cupboards and cream smeared all over.

Location of theft unknown. Early morning DPV patrollers apprehended suspect with wheelie bin coming down Virginia Avenue. Wheelie bin full of stolen property, including a tyre, jumper leads, jacks, a drone and ping pong bats. Suspect arrested by SAPS. Great team work from patrollers and SAPS.

A small black and white child’s bike (about 14 inch) was stolen. Alarm was triggered but the perpetrators got away.

Armed response call centre received a call reporting a premises had been burgled and attended. The house’s alarm had activated during the early hours of the morning: the resident was not at home, but was informed. It was found that access was gained via the back glass sliding door which was forced open. Stolen items: a big screen television, a speaker and two safes.

At 23:10 on returning home noticed bottom window in kitchen had been broken and the glass removed. The TV in the study had been taken and the back door of the guest bedroom was open. It appears as if intruders were surprised and fled when they heard owner returning.

The left rear passenger window was smashed. Perpetrator was disturbed by a passing car. He fled and came back to finish the job 5 minutes later. He made off with some items of clothing (puffer jacket, hat and a tote bag) and a couple bottles of rum that were in the boot.
