Approximately midday, a person was seen stealing a battery from a motor vehicle in Exner Avenue. Watchcom alerted DPV members, armed response patrollers and SAPS who apprehended the suspect in Rugley Road.

Intruder jumped high wall, entering property and stealing cell phone from lounge table while resident was in the house.

Chelsea Avenue – Saturday, 00:00 – 06:00
Front door was broken to gain access. Two Samsung televisions, and 1 iPhone 4, a Samsung subwoofer, a play station, a hunting knife and pepper spray were stolen, somewhere between Saturday 15:00 and Sunday 15:00.

Glencoe Close – Thursday, 00:00 – 06:00
Gardener noticed a blanket with clothes electrical goods, running shoes wrapped inside. Gardener noted the burglar bars were bent. SAPS went into flat. It appears as if intruders were either disturbed or coming back to collect items as TV was found on balcony. Appears as if no items were taken on time of discovery.

Derry Street – Monday, 18:00 – 00:00
Around 18:00, a woman with a young girl were seen ringing doorbells and hanging around. They then tried to mug someone in the street. Restaurant staff intervened and resolved the situation.

House Robbery - contact with victim

Peppertree Road – Saturday, 00:30
Soon after midnight, resident opened the Trellidor to tidy up after a braai. Four or five men, one (possibly two) of them armed, entered house and stole jewellery, money and cellphones from guests. Suspects had cut a hole in the fence at back of property to gain access and fled on to the mountain.
