House Robbery - contact with victim – ARREST

An intruder was surprised in the house by the boarder. No sign of forced access although the lockbox with house key in was open and empty, so the suspect could have broken the box. The suspect claimed he was the gardener, but on contacting the owner she confirmed that she does not have a gardener. During an altercation, the boarder was stabbed with a screwdriver. The assailant was tracked by DPV members and armed response when he fled and later arrested in the CBD.
Reported to SAPS.
