Ludlow Road - Thursday at 19:15
A resident was walking home up Vredehoek Avenue, she walked past a suspicious Citi Golf who should thought was eyeing out a woman unloading her car but did not think much about it. She proceeded to her flat on Ludlow. When she got to the gate she heard a man run up behind her. He grabbed her and stabbed her in the back of her neck and on her arm. He also attempted to stab her in the other arm but did not manage. A second suspect ran up to assist the first one. The victim was able to use her can of pepper spray on them. They ran off and only got away with a bag of hamburger rolls. The suspects were in a white Citi Golf with registration CA 601 310. The one suspect was described as a medium height and build coloured male. He was in his early 20s and had a close shaved haircut.
The victim was taken to hospital and has subsequently been released and is doing well.

WELL DONE TO SAPS for some excellent detective work! The Citi Golf had been sold by its registered owner and subsequently changed ownership two more times after that. But nobody had re-registered it. SAPS traced the women who owned it and she led SAPS to her boyfriend and this resulted in the arrest of 5 suspects! Two have already confessed to the crime and lived in Woodstock. Excellent work!
