Theft from Property

St James : between 21h00 & 09h00 next day - Break-in to a first floor flat on the corner of Wexford Rd and St James in Vredehoek. Neither of the tenants of the upstairs flat were in. TV, computer, jewellery stolen. Resident’s vehicle was parked in the driveway, so it didn’t look like an “empty” flat. Possible that the suspects had been watching the property and realized that the car hadn’t moved for a week. Seems like they gained entry by jumping over the railings, footprints found all over the deck as well as the flower beds, and it was clear suspects had attempted to climb the palm tree. Evidence of the window being forced open. No idea of number of suspects, but a jacket was left behind. Incident has been reported to SAPS.
