Attempted house break-in

Resident woke up from the sound of the bedroom window sliding slowly open. The sliding window has a latch that should prevent it from opening further, but somehow the suspect managed to slowly open it further. The resident started yelling when she noticed the suspect and he ran off. They got into their car immediately to look for the suspect and drove around for about 15 minutes, but couldn’t find anyone.
Not reported to SAPS.
