Intruder inside home/Trespassing

Gardenia Avenue, Friday at 02:45.
Intruder triggered front beam outside house. The resident saw a figure moving past their gate, and ran outside to see the suspect jumping over the hedge into the neighbour’s garden. Both CBAR and SAPS were alerted. The suspect allegedly left behind a mountain bike, a small backpack and a wine cooler.
Reported to SAPS

    This same man was found with his arm thru our kitchen window at about 3am. 2 Bayview flats, 15 Derry street. He must have jumped over my car from carlyles over the wall. Don't know what he was planning to grab. My partner was woken by noises and scared him away. Police was there within minutes (as they were already down the road). They said they were chasing him, but lost him...we don't know where he went and haven't received any feedback from them.

    Hi Anel,

    That must have been quite frightening.
    If you have not yet reported it to the police please take the time to do so. That way if this suspect is caught SAPS should be able to hold him.
