Theft from Property

An intruder removed the glass from a sash window while managing to elude the property’s outside beams AND internal passive in the lounge, which were all armed! The residents woke up with the sound of their front gate being activated with a remote from the outside. When they looked out, they saw a man of medium build, wearing a brown jacket, standing in the parking area with two rucksacks (one stolen). The man hid behind the cars in the small parking area near the house. The resident chased him but he disappeared above the properties at the top of High Cape.
SAPS and ADT arrived very promptly. Car and house keys were found outside the house. Cash was taken from wallets but cards all left behind. A cell phone, computer and a rucksack were stolen. The thief surprisingly replaced the glass panel in the frame when he left!
Reported to SAPS.
