Theft from Property - ARREST

Rugley & Ludlow Roads - today around 13:30
A resident on Rugley Road saw a suspicious man who had tried to access her property. He also rang her doorbell and said he was looking for George and was there to repair her stainless steal. She was concerned so called SAPS and an alert was put out on the DPVwatch radio network with the mans description. Within 10 minutes a DPVwatch member had located the suspect. SAPS was summoned and he was searched and found to be in possession of a laptop and iPad. With further investigation we discovered these items belonged to a property on Ludlow Road. We went to the property and advised them that there had been a theft. The residents had not been aware that a few minutes before this man had gotten into their house and stolen these items. This despite there being a high wall around the house and 3 dogs.
Well done to DPVwatch and SAPS. The items were recovered, suspect arrested and a case opened! Again the radio network showing its true value.
