Attempted Theft from Property

Chelmsford : 16h10 - Upon receiving a call from one of the residents at Hanse Cape Village that there were suspicious persons in the complex, another resident went to investigate and caught two black males at the window of one of the flats. One intruder was almost inside with just his feet sticking out and the other was standing outside the window. On seeing the resident, the intruder in the flat jumped back out the window and both tried to run away but were unable to get through the security door as the resident was obstructing the way out. Both jumped out of the passage window and ran away. Window had been forced open using a screw driver. One of the males has been positively identified as the same person involved in the “Intruder inside home” (case # 192/6/2011) incident on the 3rd of June, as it was the same resident who confronted the intruders in both instances. The intruder who was involved in both cases is 1.78m tall, round faced, very short hair, lightish complexion, average build, around 18/20yrs old, wearing a cream colored top with light blue jeans. The other person was not seen properly but was wearing a white full length overall. SAPS Case Number 1155/6/2011.
