Intruder inside home

Noordelik: 04h30 - The residents were woken up by the sound of someone coming upstairs. They called out, at which point they heard the person running down the stairs again. A chase ensued, but by the time the residents got down to the kitchen, the suspect had seemingly escaped through a window. Upon investigation, it appears that the suspect had climbed through an extremely small window, suggesting that the suspect was either a contortionist or a very small person. They noted that the suspect had extremely bad body odour. The police were contacted and arrived promptly. However, due to the residents not having actually seen the suspect or finding anything missing, a case was not opened.

It’s interesting to note however, that while the residents were talking to the police (approximately 20 minutes after the incident), SAPS were informed on another call that 2 coloured men had broken into a house in Plantation road and had been scared off the property by the owner. It is wondered whether they are the same suspects.
